The healthcare industry is taking a leap toward technological disruptions at a faster rate. Such developments are giving rise to many loopholes in critical areas like IT, security, and communication. However, most IT personnel in healthcare organizations continue to offer on-demand support only after the damage has been done. On the security front, tasks such as risk assessment are still carried out manually using tools like MS Excel. More importantly, the historical and the current data is not harnessed or centralized on a common platform for analyses and insights generation. Delaware-based company SecureNetMD delivers HIPAA compliant solutions (comprising resources and tools) that help healthcare firms achieve enhanced efficiency. “We enable organizations to retrieve historical records, have an auditable track record, and assign tasks to team members—all in the same platform,” starts Jack Berberian, CEO, and Co-founder of SecureNetMD.
With SecureNetMD’s solutions, healthcare organizations do not have to depend on external IT vendors but instead use their in-house teams to ensure state-of-the-art security and streamlined business operations, SecureNetMD’s team has always been a partner to the organizations they serve. The solutions have been designed into four categories to turn the corner for the clients. While managed security solutions secure organizations from threats like ransomware and cyber threats, managed IT solutions optimize operations of an organization.
Likewise, unified communication improves the flexibility of communication. The IT infrastructure and design function, on the other hand, enhances the scalability of the infrastructure. The solutions provided by SecureNetMD cater to the small mid-sized organizations that do not have sufficient budgets to adopt new solutions as the large ones.
Taking a granular focus on security, SecureNetMD adopts a multilayered approach to offer protection for email, endpoints, and network, among others.

For instance, it provides Carbon Black sensors to detect bugs or viruses which cannot be traced using the standard antivirus and gateway security tools. Besides, the company utilizes a live intelligence and threat detection engine to secure endpoints. Any threat detected is validated by a security operations team. In case a data breach occurs, the system automatically notifies either team SecureNetMD or the client directly so that adequate measures can be taken to isolate that endpoint before it propagates in the network.
A vital part of SecureNetMD’s onboarding process includes extensive communication with client organizations to understand their goals. A case in point, the company was tasked to deliver a service-desk first call for a hospital where every call that went to the hospital’s IT department would be addressed by team SecureNetMD first. “It demanded an in-depth understanding of the client’s work environment, learning the workflow, and how things work there with different technologies. We worked closely with the clients’ teams to ensure maximum success,” explains Drew Laroche, CIO, and Co-founder of SecureNetMD. In another instance, SecureNetMD provided its solutions to a large anesthesiology group in Dallas, Texas, to manage and support a wide range of physicians 24-hours a day by traveling across 80 different facilities. Although logistically it was a demanding task, team SecureNetMD successfully collaborated with the client to enhance their workflow.

Backed by an open communication strategy, SecureNetMD has registered a 98 percent client retention rate over the last 10 years by partnering with clients. Moving forward, the company looks to further partner with clients in addressing their issues and improve their processes. SecureNetMD plans to continue evaluating new products and services to help clients in their journey to success.
